Valdicass began with a simple belief: premium products deserve expert installation.

For Walter Skura, founder of Valdicass, that belief comes from decades of hands-on experience in the window and door industry.

Walter came to the United States from Poland in 1994. While adapting to a new country and learning English, he also learned the window and door trade from the ground up. Those early years gave him something that would eventually define Valdicass: an understanding that the quality of a home improvement project depends not only on the product being installed, but also on the craftsmanship, preparation, and attention to detail behind the installation.

By 1997, Walter was serving Chicagoland homeowners through his own business, building his reputation project by project and customer by customer.

In 2007, the company was formally registered in Illinois as Valdicass, Inc.

Today, Valdicass continues to be a family-owned home improvement company specializing in windows, doors, and siding throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

From Installer to Business Owner

Valdicass wasn’t created in an office or built around a sales strategy.

It grew from hands-on experience.

Walter spent years working directly with windows and doors, learning how different products perform, how existing homes are constructed, and how important the details of an installation become after the project is finished.

That installation background continues to influence how Valdicass approaches projects today.

Before recommending a solution, we consider the home itself: the existing opening, construction, architectural style, product selection, installation method, finishing details, and the homeowner’s goals.

Sometimes a pocket replacement is appropriate. Other projects require a complete full-frame installation. And some projects involve structural modifications, new openings, custom trim, or other construction work.

Our goal is not simply to sell a window or door.

It’s to provide the right product and installation approach for the home.

Growing With Pella

An important chapter in the Valdicass story has been our relationship with Pella®.

As the company grew, Walter wanted to pair Valdicass installation craftsmanship with a manufacturer offering a broad selection of products for different homes, architectural styles, and project requirements.

That relationship developed into years of experience working with Pella windows and doors.

Valdicass progressed through Pella’s contractor certification program and today is recognized as a:

This relationship allows us to specialize in Pella products while providing homeowners with the local consultation, project planning, installation, and finishing that come from working directly with Valdicass.

That’s why we pay close attention to the details that homeowners may not always see once the project is complete.

We also recognize that we’re working inside someone’s home.

Our crews take appropriate steps to protect surrounding areas, furnishings, floors, and finishes during installation and clean the work area when the project is complete.

We want homeowners to remember not only what their new windows, doors, or siding look like, but also how we treated their home throughout the project.

Valdicass has remained locally based as we’ve grown.

From our showroom in Brookfield, Illinois, we serve homeowners throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, including La Grange, Western Springs, Hinsdale, Oak Park, Riverside, Berwyn, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Naperville, and many other Chicagoland communities.

Our experience with local homes has exposed us to everything from older properties with unique existing conditions to contemporary renovations involving larger glass areas and modern door systems.
