ProVia Entry Doors
A Beautiful Entrance Starts With the Right Door
Your front door is more than an entrance. It’s an important part of your home’s architecture and one of the first details visitors notice.
Valdicass offers professionally installed ProVia® entry doors for homeowners throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
With fiberglass and steel options, extensive glass and finish choices, sidelites, transoms, and premium hardware, ProVia lets homeowners create an entrance tailored to their home and personal style.
Serving Chicagoland homeowners since 1997, Valdicass combines premium exterior door products with professional installation and detailed finishing.
Why Choose a ProVia Entry Door?
ProVia offers entry-door systems designed around four important considerations: appearance, durability, performance, and customization.
Rather than limiting homeowners to a small selection of standard doors, ProVia provides numerous combinations of materials, panel designs, glass, finishes, hardware, sidelites, and transoms.
This lets Valdicass help you create an entrance that complements your home’s architecture.
Fiberglass & Steel Entry Doors
ProVia offers both fiberglass and steel entry-door options, giving homeowners flexibility based on appearance, maintenance preferences, available configurations, and budget.
Fiberglass Entry Doors
Fiberglass doors are popular for their combination of durability and design flexibility.
Depending on the collection, homeowners can choose wood-grain appearances or smooth finishes, with many available colors, stains, glass designs, and panel configurations.
For homeowners who want the look of wood but prefer an alternative material for an exterior entrance, fiberglass is worth considering.
Steel Entry Doors
Steel entry doors provide another durable option with a variety of available panel designs, colors, glass configurations, and hardware.
Valdicass can help you compare fiberglass and steel based on your home’s design, entrance configuration, and the ProVia products available for your project.
ProVia Door Collections
ProVia offers multiple entry-door collections designed for different architectural styles, performance requirements, and budgets.
Rather than choosing a door based on appearance alone, we’ll help you compare the available collections based on the complete entrance you’re trying to create.
Depending on current product availability, options may include ProVia’s premium fiberglass and steel door systems with different construction, panel, glass, finish, and configuration choices.
This is where I’d eventually add the individual current ProVia collections—Signet®, Heritage™, Legacy™—but I want those verified against the current ProVia catalog before we publish detailed specifications.
Create a Custom Entrance
One of the biggest advantages of choosing ProVia is the ability to personalize the complete entry system.
Depending on the selected collection and configuration, you can explore options for:
- Door panel styles
- Exterior and interior colors
- Wood-grain finishes
- Decorative glass
- Privacy glass
- Sidelites
- Transoms
- Hardware
- Handlesets
- Thresholds
- Different entrance configurations
We’ll help you coordinate these elements with your home’s windows, siding, masonry, trim, roofing, and interior finishes.
Decorative Glass
Glass can dramatically change an entry door’s appearance.
Depending on the ProVia collection selected, homeowners can choose from different decorative and privacy-glass designs to balance natural light, privacy, and architectural detail.
You can also incorporate glass into sidelites and transoms to create a larger, more distinctive entrance.
Sidelites & Transoms
Your new entrance doesn’t have to be limited to the dimensions or appearance of the existing door panel.
Depending on the home and available opening, Valdicass can help you explore entrances incorporating:
Sidelites alongside the door to introduce additional glass and visual width.
Transoms above the door to add height, natural light, and architectural interest.
Some projects can use the existing configuration, while others may involve modifications to the opening.
We’ll evaluate those conditions during project planning.
Colors & Finishes
Your front door can either blend naturally with the exterior or become an intentional architectural focal point.
ProVia offers numerous finish options depending on the selected product, allowing homeowners to coordinate the entrance with brick, siding, trim, roofing, windows, and other exterior elements.
Rather than relying on a fixed list of color names that may change over time, Valdicass will help you review the current ProVia color and finish selections available for your chosen door.
Door Hardware
Hardware affects both the appearance and everyday operation of your entrance.
Depending on the selected ProVia system, homeowners can explore different handlesets, hardware styles, finishes, locking configurations, and compatible premium hardware options.
The hardware should complement both the door and the home’s architectural style.

Security & Multipoint Locking Options
Depending on the ProVia door system you select, enhanced locking options may be available, including multipoint configurations.
A multipoint system secures the door at multiple locations rather than relying on a single traditional locking point.
We’ll help you determine which available hardware and locking options are compatible with your selected door.
This is much better than the current “extra strong and more secure” sales language because we’re explaining what the feature actually does.
Energy-Performance Options
A modern entry-door system can incorporate several components designed to help manage heat transfer and air infiltration.
Depending on the ProVia product and configuration selected, these may include:
- Insulated door construction
- Insulated glass options
- Low-E glass options
- Weatherstripping
- Threshold and sill components
- Available ENERGY STAR® certified configurations
Energy performance varies by door model, glass, size, configuration, installation, and other conditions.
Valdicass can help you compare the performance information for the specific ProVia door you’re considering.
Professional ProVia Door Installation
The door itself is only part of the finished project.
Proper installation is important for operation, alignment, weatherstripping contact, locking, sealing, and appearance.
Depending on your contracted project scope, Valdicass installation may include removing the existing door, preparing the opening, positioning and securing the new door system, adding insulation and sealing, installing hardware, making adjustments, and finishing the interior and exterior.
Premium products deserve expert installation.
Replacing or Modifying Your Existing Entrance
Some homeowners simply need a properly fitted replacement for an existing entry door.
Other projects involve considerably more work.
Valdicass can evaluate projects involving:
- Replacement within an existing opening
- New sidelites
- New or modified transoms
- Wider entrance configurations
- Changes to surrounding trim
- Modified openings
- Coordination with new siding or windows
If structural modifications or other work outside a standard replacement are required, we’ll identify the applicable scope during project planning.
Protecting Your Home
Door replacement involves work on both the interior and exterior of your home.
Our installation team takes appropriate steps to protect surrounding work areas and finishes while removing the existing door and installing the new system.
If we discover concealed conditions after removal, we’ll evaluate them and discuss any additional work needed before proceeding beyond the contracted scope.
